Services Provided

My aim is to provide High Impact images to Feature Films. From Casting Shots for Casting Directors through to Professional Film PR Photos and Production Stills I have it covered. As well as providing Photography I also design Film Posters and DVD Covers and Film Websites.

Production Stills

I can work around the Production Crew, with my sound blimp providing you with peace of mind that there won’t be annoying shutter release noises on your production. I am not an enthuisiast interested in working onset, but someone with several years experience shooting Image Idents and Stills on TV Series, Advertising Commercials and Independent Films.

Specialising in low light photography I can work with the reduced light required now with most HD cameras.

Professional Film PR Photography

Whilst I do provide Production Stills to feature films, this is usually in addition to providing Film PR Photography. My true love is playing with light and providing high impact images for film PR and media in general. I love the instant feedback of digital photography and the fact that you can really experiment with lighting.

However this is not just what can be achieved in the studio, with my fully professional mobile studio I can setup at any location with mains power or I can utilise my strobist kit which is battery powered. So I can do Film PR photos with incredible sharpness within the filmset for accurate character portrayal.

The Importance of Good PR Photos

I am a firm believer that the photos are a very important aspect to the film. They are what is used to create the poster and DVD and Film PR in general and so they must accurately portray the film but also be of high quality and instant impact visually. This is what I do.

A great PR Photo will make a bad film look good and will sell that film. A great PR photo and a great film provide the killer combination of a really saleable and marketable production. When you look at DVD’s or cinema posters those with the really good PR photos jump out at you and stay in your memory. Who can forget the Casino Royale photo of Daniel Craig in his Tuxedo or the Lord Of The Rings covers, or Trainspotting, Shoot Em Up etc.

Some really good films have really bad photos and that is sometimes a shame..wish they had come to me ;-)

When to consider PR Photos

Whether its during an initial read through of the script, a casting day or onset during shooting I can fit in and around your production to deliver high impact images with a minimum of fuss.

During shooting of Underground I had approximately 2-3 minutes for each character to get some PR shots, in between the film crew changing the set around. Under pressure I have to say the images are some of my best and the Production Team used them throughout the Film PR process.

Image Release

I do not release images unless specifically allowed by the Director, so the images below are not in order of when the photos were taken but when I was allowed to release images.
